A fuller expression of Tintagel
Tintagel 2 uses twin 150mm advanced fibre drivers with a specially developed 28mm silk-dome treble unit. The lower bass driver reinforces low-frequency and lower-midrange output, while the upper driver handles the critical handover to the treble unit.
This 2.5-way architecture gives Tintagel 2 greater scale and bass authority than the standmount model, while helping preserve the clarity and openness that make the Tintagel series easy to enjoy over long listening sessions.
Smooth, spacious treble
The 28mm silk-dome treble unit and shallow waveguide help Tintagel 2 deliver high frequencies with refinement and control. Treble energy disperses smoothly into the room, supporting a stable tonal balance both on and off axis.
This helps Tintagel 2 sound spacious and composed without becoming sharp or spotlighted. It is designed to make music feel open, natural and complete.
Controlled bass for real homes
Tintagel 2 uses a downward-firing port that exits into a calculated air volume formed by the plinth. This supports extended bass performance while helping the loudspeaker integrate more easily into typical listening rooms.
The cabinet itself is engineered to remain quiet and controlled, using cast alloy driver chassis, internal bracing, bitumen damping panels and long-fibre wool absorption to reduce resonance and internal reflections.
The result is bass with weight and control, a clean midband and a treble performance that integrates naturally into the whole.

With its amplifier-friendly impedance characteristics and generous sensitivity, Tintagel 2 partners comfortably with a wide range of high-quality amplifiers, from classic integrated designs to today's advanced streaming amplifiers. Its balanced electrical load allows partnering electronics to perform at their best, while the loudspeaker's composed, even-handed voicing makes it equally at home with valve or solid-state amplification.
